MARGA OBRIEN ZACK, C.Ht.
I was born in Sacramento and attended school in Southern California. At an early age I became aware of the challenge and excitement of using the subconscious, and hypnosis, to change my personal life. This awareness led to a lifelong study of hypnosis. I studied at Orange Coast College, University of the Americas and the Institute de Mexico, and trained in clinical hypnosis under Dr. A.E. Morong of Duke University. On concluding formal education, I attended schools and seminars for specialized courses in bodycentered psychotherapy, movement awareness, connective tissue manipulation, neurolinguistics, accupressure and kinesiology, reflexology, nutrition, the psychology of advertising and communication, and postural integration. As a Master Hypnotist with the San Clemente, California, Medical Center, I hypnotized patients in preparation for surgery and dentistry. I have traveled extensively and lectured in Europe, the Middle East and Central America, as well as U.S. colleges and universities; and has appeared on local and national television. My TV credits include a documentary for Encyclopedia Britannica on self-hypnosis for use in various colleges and universities throughout the United States. I have lectured with top names in nutrition and health and has participated in the World Festival of the International Cooperation Council, an organization sponsored by the United Nations. I've also studied the healing arts from many philosophies, even living in the jungles of Central America, studying with different shamans of the region and later in Alaska and then Hawaii, continuing my research into ancient philosophies. I have workd with over 23,000, people, both individually and in groups, including Olympic athletes, TV and movie celebrities, and business leaders. I now lives in Michigan, where I direct the Michigan Institute of NeuroDynamics. |
